Wissenschaftspreis for Dr. Julija Michailova

Dr. Julija Michailova, alumni of our programme, has been awarded the "Wissenschaftspreis" of the head offices Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Schleswig-Holstein of the Deutsche Bundesbank. The prize carries a value of 7,000 EUR and has been awarded for her dissertation with the title:
"Experimental Studies of Overconfidence in Financial Markets". The thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schmidt.

| The doctoral programme has moved into its new rooms in the building Leibnizstr. 3, next to the central university library. You find now all offices of the doctoral students as well as the administration offices together on the first floor, room no. 102-113. |

Faculty Soccer Cup

| This year there will be again a soccer cup for the whole faculty. Everyone is invited to participate with a team, from student assistant to professor, whether male or female. The matches will take place on September 21, from 14:30 until appr. 18:00 on the field Unisportgelaende. If you like to register a team, please contact Eike Berner. |

The application deadline for applications, concerning the upcoming term starting in autumn 2011, has passed. So, applications for this term can not be considered anymore.
Within the next few weeks we will start the new application process for 2012.

Dear candidates!
You are invited to the *doctoral candidates plenary meeting* on Tuesday, April 12, 14:30, in lecture room 1, Olshausenstr. 75.
Amongst others, there will be an election of representatives of doctoral candidates for the executive committee and the advisory board of the graduate center.
Unfortunately, the meeting will be held in German language. If you want to go there, but don't speak sufficient German, I offer you to accompany you and translate for you. Please let me know if you wish for a translation.
